When I wrote Paul and told him that I was interested in his business, he actually wrote me back. It was NOT an auto responder or a canned e-mail.  It was an honest to goodness e-mail from his personal account.  This is a good sign, at least to me.  Remember that my business is writing reviews of Home Business Programs and opportunities and I contact HUNDREDS of these authors and business owners a month.

Remember that I am NOT reviewing Turnkey Business Opportunities. Buying Vending Machines is a Business Opportunity ( A Bad One), not a Real Home Based Business System.

 

My definition of a Home Based Internet Business System is a product or course that allows you to run a Home Based Internet Business no matter what kind of product you want to sell or service you want to provide.

 

So, if someone who claims to have a Home Based Business System can't respond to a customer or student, they are not really interested in your business, they are interested in your money. They are marketers, not real patrons of the Home Business industry.

In his corporate life, he was a Training consultant, which bodes well for all those who are considering purchasing his systems and products - he really does know how to teach. Not just marketing and sales, but the technical and business aspects of operating a Home Business.

 

In his course, The Complete Guide to Home Business Success, he has several sample business plans and tutorials on using your e-mail program, web authoring software, FTP, etc. - For all of those little critical things that we take for granted, he is ready with a tutorial.

 

How about those Tutorials?

 

Well, if you have ever used Lotus Screen Cam, you understand how powerful watching a tutorial made with Lotus is.  They are fantastic, and when it comes to teaching technical operations of anything, I think that, short of having a real-live tutor standing next to you, they can't be beat.

 

Paul includes a dozen or so screen cam tutorials in his product that teach on topics like: How to set up your signature file in your e-mail program, setting up mirror pages with search engines, how to use text links, where and how to place your banners, understanding FTP, etc.

The Complete Guide to Home Business Success covers all of the basics of running a home business, to the nth degree.  I know that I have said that about other programs, and it's true, but truth is always a matter of degrees.

 

The information that you need to set up and run a Home Based Internet Business may be much more or less depending on who you are and what your experiences are.  Paul Barrs makes no assumptions, nor does he treat you like an idiot.

Then there are the books for you to read.  Each module has 3-12 different e-books for you to read and absorb. Of course, they all relate to some aspect of that module or another (ex. for the Website Magic Module, one of the books is called 'The Webmasters Toolbox 2000). One of the things that I adore about Paul is his Real Audio Tutorials.  I have to say that next to the screen cam tutorials, these little audio seminars are just terrific.  They give you a real sense of just who Paul is, and why he started his Home Based Internet Business. 

 

It's actually an interesting story-His wife became so ill that he had to quit his corporate job and stay home and take care of her and his 3 kids.  Well, I don't know about you, but  if I was in that situation and had no money like Paul, I'm not sure I would fair quite as well. He definitely is a class act and is oozing with character.

 

So, having said all of those wonderful things about the how The Complete Guide to Home Business Success is presented - is it any good?

 

2 Years ago, when I was first getting into the whole Home Based Internet Business industry, I would have killed for his material.  It is so complete that anybody who can lick a stamp can set up the infrastructure necessary to start.

 

I mean, how many of us out there actually had a business plan when we started our own business, Internet Based or not?  I thought so.  Most of us who want to start a business on the internet end up surfing around for hundreds of hours until a pop-up gets hold of them and they order a system or product and think they are off to the races. Yeah, see you in the unemployment line chum...

 

So as a beginner to the industry, this stuff is GOLD.

 

Well now, what about the advanced beginner, or the intermediate?  The other day, I was listening to one of Paul's Real Audio tutorials. he was describing how to Joint Venture an E-book with a web master and how to earn income from it.  It was one of those "Ahhh HA!  Now I get it!" moments.  Look folks, I don't make a million dollars a year on the internet, but I DO make money and I DO read TONS and TONS of Home Business Systems.  "Ahh HA!" moments don't come around often for me.

 

However, let me make a clear distinction between The Complete Guide to Home Business Success and MOST of the other Systems out there.  This product is a bona-fide training course for setting up a Home Based Internet Business.  It is NOT a "Make Profits in 33 Days" program, or a "Re-sell Your way to Millions" course. So if you are looking for a quick internet Start-Up business, you might want to re-consider (Quick Start-Up usually have short life spans). The Complete Guide to Home Business Success covers EVERYTHING.  

 

The bad part about systems that cover Everything  is that they usually generalize over some information that folks really want details about.  For the most part, this is not the case here.  There are usually step-by-step instructions for most aspects of setting up and running you business successfully, and where there isn't, Paul includes an E-book that dives into the subject.

 

ALERT!  You can get lost in all of the information that The Complete Guide to Home Business Success Contains. I guess that's why he organized it as a One Month-at-a-time course.

Paul's Other products.

 

As an evolution to his original business, Paul began a Re-sale rights business where he purchases the Re-sale rights of information products and offers them to his customer to promote on their own.  What is a re-sale right?  Basically, it is the right to re-sell a product as if you were the owner of that product.  It does NOT mean that you can pretend that it's YOUR product, by your own creation. But  WHO CARES!  The point of having the Re-sale rights to a product is that you get to keep ALL of the profits of the sale.
